These days visor 'tear-offs' are a motocross essential, affording a rider instant crystal-clear vision when the outmost layer of tear-off plastic on his or her goggles becomes coated in mud or dust. However, while the introduction of the tear-off was great news for riders, it wasn't such a good thing for the environment, as motocross tracks littered with non-degrading tear-off film will attest. The solution? BioTearOffs.
According to their maker, BioTearOffs are made from "non-food renewable resources" that contain no metals or petroleum, so they break down into carbon dioxide and other elements already found within nature.
Certified to the relevent Vincotte EN13432 standard, BioTearOffs break down by 90 percent in 180 days, yet when in use they still provide maxiumum clarity.
BioTearOffs are available to suit a variety of goggles made by Spy, Thor, Scott, Fox, Oakley, Smith, Eks, Pro-Grip and Dragon.
