And $2K more for the higher-spec Nuda 900R, with both bikes to go on sale nationally in March, 2012

Husqvarna’s all-new street bike, the Nuda 900, will be introduced into Australia for $13,995 (plus on-road costs(, with the higher-spec Nuda 900R to retail for $15,995 (plus on-road costs).

This pricing will be offered for a limited time only when the bikes -- claimed to combine the flair of Italian styling, the history and race pedigree of Husqvarna with the technological innovations and engineering prowess of the BMW Group -- become available in March, 2012.

Click here to read the Bikesales Network’s world launch report on the Nuda, which uses the BMW F 800 R engine as a development base, and then ramped up for more response across the rev range. The Nuda’s capacity is 898cc, with the list of enhancements including new forged pistons, conrods and crankshaft, new camshafts rotating in a new cylinder head, larger diameter valves and a new balancer conrod, together with a different crank offset of 315 degrees.

Claimed figures are 105hp and 100 Nm.

Those wishing to take their Nuda touring, either solo or with a pillion, can enhance the experience with a high windshield kit and a range of either soft or hard luggage. Touring, urban or sport riding customers have the option to tailor the Nuda to their specific needs with the wide range of specific accessories available.

The Nuda will be on display at the Australian Motorcycle Expo on the Gold Coast from February 17-19.
