Victory Core concept motorcycle

Saturday January 29 is the official gala opening for the Victory Motorcycles long awaited Sydney dealership, located at Parramatta Road, Ashfield, about 8km from the Sydney CBD, and will be one of the places you can see the immaculate Victory 'Core' concept.

Indeed, one of the special guests of the all-new 1200 square metre showroom is the Core concept motorcycle, a vehicle that was researched and developed by the Victory Motorcycles Industrial Design team "to show what a performance cruiser of the future could look like."

It's a relatively bare-bones concept, made up of the essentials: engine, frame, wheels and front suspension.

According to Victory, the Core concept bike's unique cast aluminium frame was made by "pouring molten aluminium over a sand core, which was removed when the casting was complete giving a unique insight into what a Victory of the future may look like."

Motive force for the eye-catching vehicle is courtesy of a counter-balanced 106 cubic inch (1731cc) Freedom V-twin, which bangs out a handy 92hp (68kW) and 148Nm of torque. The Victory Core rides on 18-inch 'X-factor' wheels and is finished with 304 stainless steel scrambler high pipes, carbon fibre fork and rear fender covers, and an African mahogany seat.

Back to the subject of the gala opening of the Sydney Victory store at 554 Parramatta Road, it is quite a big bigger than its Melbourne counterpart, and takes up over 1200 square metres of premium showroom and workshop space.

The showroom has wings for all variants in the cruiser and touring model range, huge accessory display areas, and designated customer areas including delivery bays, coffee bar and a high-tech multimedia area with interactive features such as iPads.

The dealership has plenty of parking, with bike spaces available under cover. The official opening will be held in late January, well after the store opens its doors to the public.
