Moto Guzzi Stelvio given stunning super motard work over and big bore 1420cc engine kit courtesy of Italian tuning house

We reviewed the Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX recently and found there was a lot to like in the package. Comfort, power, handling, the list goes on. But to see the Stelvio transformed into something like this - a big bore super moto - is simultaneously confusing and exciting.

This torque-laden custom Guzzi is the handiwork of Filippo Barbacane of Officine RossoPuro in Italy, and it looks pretty slick.

A big departure from the standard styling of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio, the Officine Rossopuro Motard One gets more power than the standard model thanks to a be bore engine kit from Millepercento, which takes capacity from 1151cc to Hayabusa eclipsing 1420cc.

With plenty of work done on the quattrovalvole V-twin engine, claimed rear wheel power is 140hp (103kW), which would be perhaps 165hp at the crankshaft. That's enough power to well and truly fry the rear wheel.

Other changes to the Motard One include plenty of new bodywork (or lack thereof), custom sub frame at the rear, new triple trees, Marchesini wheels, a custom exhaust system with underbody end pipe, a race-specification FRAM Corse radiator and upgraded Brembo brakes.

The standard 50mm Marzocchi forks have been left unchanged from the Stelvio but Officine RossoPuro has changed the rear shock to an Extreme Tech unit to improve rear end response and firmness.

The end result? You be judge - leave your thoughts in the comments below.
