One of Honda's more affordable middleweight bikes, the VT750S casual cruiser, has been given a spruce up for 2012, with an honourary colour scheme inspired by racing legend Freddie Spencer.
The 'Fast' Freddie Spencer tri-colour paint scheme features the classic Honda white, red and blue on the fuel tank and blue front and rear fenders.
Honda says the new colour scheme "adds to the bikes classic styling".
Pricing for the updated Honda VT750S model remains unchanged at $8990.
Power for the Honda comes from a liquid-cooled V-twin engine, worth 43hp (32kW) at 5500rpm and 62Nm of torque at a low 3250rpm.
Fitted with twin disc brakes up front, a drum brake lives on the rear wheel.
The fuel-injected bike "combines easy handling, comfort and satisfying power with styling that stands apart," according to Honda. With plenty of chrome and an understated cruiser style, the bike's overall design is uncluttered and simple, while things like the flat handlebars and low 750mm seat are designed to ensure comfortable riding.
We reviewed the bike in 2010 and Mark Fattore said ergonomics were "...just about spot-on, and my only request would be to move back the footpegs a few millimetres." Read the full Honda VT750S review for more background on the bike.
