The Italian-made Ducati Diavel has been recalled after several issues concerning the number plate holder coming loose have been reported

Ducati has issued a recall for its Diavel power cruiser in Australia, recalling all 161 motorcycles sold.

The recall concerns the number plate holder which has the potential of detaching and leading the rider to break road rules with impunity.

The official line is that "There is a possibility that the number plate holder could detach and cause an accident risk to other road users."

The recall notice continues: "In some cases there is a possibility of having the mounting bolts of the number plate holder coming loose."

Affecting Ducati Diavel models right across Australia, owners are required to contact their closest authorised Ducati dealer, where a replacement will be fitted without cost to owners.
