Has the domino effect taken hold of the 250cc sports bike market?
As the price war in the 250cc segment intensifies, Daelim is the second motorcycle manufacturer in as many days to drop the price of its LAMS approved sports bike, the VJF250, making it one of the most affordable new bikes in its class.
Daelim importer Mojo Motorcycles has issued a $500 price rollback, taking the retail price (not including on road costs) to an appealing $4490.
According to the importer, "The VJF250 offers even better value for money thanks to a substantial $500 price reduction."
Recently released with a new colour, solid red, the Daelim VJF250 redefines the meaning of value according to the importer, "offering a liquid cooled EFI engine, twin front disc brakes and striking looks which deliver respect on the street."
Weighing in at 174kg, the VJF250 is powered by a dual overhead cam single-cylinder engine with four-valves, outputting 21hp (15kW). Check out our review of the Daelim VJF250 for more details.
The Daelim sports bike is available in white, red, and black.
Backed by a two-year unlimited kilometre warranty the $500 price reduction comes hot on the heels of Kawasaki slashing $1500 from the price of its best-selling Ninja 250R, which in turn was a result of Honda's CBR250R arriving on the market.
All we need now is for Hyosung to chime in with a price drop on its GT250R and we'll be all set the mother of all price battles.
