Bimota whipped the covers off two all-new machines at the recent EICMA Motorcycle Expo in Milan with a naked version of the Ducati 1198 powered DB8, dubbed the DB9 Brivido.
Taking on Ducati’s Streetfighter S head-on, the DB9 Brivido is adorned with the latest up-spec componentry such as Marzocchi suspension, Brembo brakes and lightweight OZ wheels.
Perhaps attracting more attention was the cleverly-named DB10 Bimotard. As the name suggests, it’s Bimota’s take on the Ducati Hypermotard, using the same Testastretta 1100cc L-twin engine found in the Hypermotard – but being a Bimota, it gets a hand-made tubular trellis frame, which extends down to an excellent-looking tubular-trellis swingarm.
Harking back to days gone by, the brand also revealed an all-new dirtbike dubbed the BBX300. Traditionally known to use other manufacturer’s engine within a hand-built Bimota chassis, the 300cc two-stroke engine was built in-house by Bimota, hence the BB prefix.
