Seth Enslow makes history
The world's longest jump on a Harley-Davidson
He came, he saw, he conquered. Seth Enslow made history today when he destroyed a world record first held by Evel Knievel in 1975, then bettered by Bubba Blackwell in 1999.
The record was the
longest jump on a Harley-Davidson
, previously set at 47.85 metres, but Seth Enslow has broken that record, with a massive 53.34 metre (157 foot) jump in Sydney today.
Riding an Harley-Davidson XR1200, Seth Enslow – a Crusty Demon of lofty repute – landed the jump at 8:35am at Barangaroo in Sydney, beating the previous record by more than five metres.
"This is awesome, I'm stoked!" said a clearly elated Enslow. He then gave the universal cry for extreme happiness: "Woooot!"
Harley-Davidson spokesperson Adrian O’Donoughue was also rather pleased with the record breaking jump, saying: "We've worked hard at creating history and we're all glad he landed it safely. The wheels are already in motion for what we do next!"
