If H-D wants to attract younger buyers, the unofficial Brawler design concept could be one way to go about it

What you see here is a Harley-Davidson design concept mocked up by Travis Clark, a young American design student from Kansas City.

Called the Brawler, this fictional design shows promise, displaying a contemporary take on the traditional Harley aesthetic.

The Harley-Davidson Brawler concept design comes in two flavours: an entry-level model with upside-down front forks and an 88 cubic inch air-cooled H-D engine, and a higher performance model which gets the V-Rod powerplant and leading link front suspension.

Holding everything in place is a shapely tubular frame and matching rear swingarm, and the Brawler also features a vertically stacked twin headlight. Together with a high-mount twin exhaust system, the design is certainly inoffensive and hypothetically could have the effect of attracting a younger buyer to the Harley-Davidson fold.

Clark used the Triumph Speed Triple as a guide to the riding position, mounting the foot pegs slightly rear of the seat, which would indicate a motorcycle created for 'spirited' cruising.
