If you're in Victoria early in October, and happen to have a love – or even a vague interest – in Italian motorcycles and scooters, you should definitely check out the opening of the Italian Historical Society's (IHS) new museum in Carlton.
Located in Faraday Street in Carlton, the museum opens on Sunday, October 3, which will include a street closure and plenty of celebrations from 10.00am.
The objective of the establishment is document the contribution Italians have made to Australia, and with this in mind, one aspect will expand on the contribution that Italian motorcycles and scooters have made to this country.
Organisers are calling on experts in the field, and those with Italian motorcycles or scooters, to get involved.
You can bet your bottom dollar Italian car clubs will be there in force, but there could also be Moto Guzzi, Vespa and Ducati, Moto Morini and MV Agusta badges on show as well.
