The new 600cc Moto2 series is expected to generate a lot of interest in 2010, and Bimota wants to play

The Verona Motorcycle Expo in Italy is one of the first major motorbike shows of the year and a number of interesting bikes flew under the radar, such as the Bimota HB4.

This aggressively styled two-wheeler has been designed for the all-new Moto2 category, which will replace the thoroughbred two-stroke 250 GP class alongside MotoGP.

With a flowing, super slippery fairing design with aerodynamically advanced protuberances, vents and vortex-generating riblets, not to mention a trick-looking exhaust pipe, the HB4 is a real head turner.

Of course it's only destined to be raced on the track and Bimota is expected to sell the chassis to privateer teams which are interested in contesting the new Moto2 title, where all bikes will be powered by a souped-up Honda CBR600RR production engine.
