Italian motorcycle maker Beta has taken the wraps off its 2011 RR4T enduro motorcycle range, comprising 400, 450 and 520cc models.
Beta Australia is already taking orders for the new models, which benefit primarily from newly designed frames that feature improved strength at major stress points. And they're also red.
The upper and lower triple clamps are also new - complete with adjustable mounts - offering six different handlebar positions.
Along with the new frame, the Beta 2011 RR4T range also get new 50mm Marzocchi Shiver forks, which are designed to increase "riding precision and control" according to the company. The clutch lever design has also been changed, which is claimed to improve reliability along with mud and dirt protection.
The seat is also new with an optimised quick-release function and an updated digital instrument cluster has also been incorporated, boasting more functionality.
The Italian motorcycle maker has also fettled the engines of its 2011 RR4T enduro bikes, with the following changes:
- New maintenance schedule: enlarged service intervals thanks to better engine reliability.
- Electric starter components DLC (diamond-like carbon) coated for decreased friction and improved dryrunning properties.
- New clutch components: with minimised tolerances, new clutch basket and the adoption of antijudder spring improve reliability and give a smoother operation.
- New piston profile for less friction and wear (for 450 and 520 only).
- New connrod-bearing DLC-coated for improved reliability (for 520 only).
Beta also makes mention of the new 350cc version of the RR4T model, which will be coming "early 2011" as will updated motocross models. Check out BetaMotor.com.au for more details.
