It's special deal time for the big Side by Side off-road vehicle from Polaris: buy one get one free

We've seen tens if not hundreds of special deals on motorcycles and ATVs in 2010, with free gifts, cash back deals, free insurance or rego and added equipment among the many offerings thus far.

But this new deal from Polaris is possibly one of the most impressive.

Simply put, if you buy a Polaris RZR 800 Sports SXS, you'll get a free RZR 170. The press release talks about the RZR 170 being "for the kids" but it sounds to us like it'd be a fair bit of fun for adults too.

With the Sports Side by Side (SXS) market growing in leaps and bounds in the last few years, adding a sporty dimension to what once seen as farm utility vehicles, Polaris expects global sales figures to keep rising.

As for the Polaris RZR 800, it has a top speed of 96km/h and features a low centre gravity "for better handling". Only 5cm wider than some larger ATVs, RZR 800 "is incredibly agile and ideal for squeezing through tight trails" according to Polaris.

The RZR 170 is a scaled down version of the big daddy RZR 800, and features an automatic gearbox for ease of use, and like its bigger sibling features two seats with safety harnesses, a steering wheel plus accelerator and brake pedals.

Interestingly the kid-friendly RZR 170 also features a "parent-only" adjustable speed limiter. Polaris is also bundling two approved helmets into the deal.

The special offer is only "while stocks last" and check out PolarisSales.com.au for more details.
