Taiwanese bike maker cuts prices on scooter models and the MXU400 ATV, but only until June 30

With the end of the financial year approaching, now is an ideal time to buy a new motorcycle or scooter, with more special deals, sales and discounts than you poke a stick at.

The latest manufacturer to announce end of financial year deals is Kymco, with price reductions on two of its scooters and an ATV until June 30, 2010.

First up is the popular Espresso 150 scooter (second image), which is powered by a compact 150cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, and will be offered at a $3990 ride away price point, representing a $500 saving.

Kymco describes the scooter's design as " funky retro" and that the "Espresso's automatic CVT and 16-inch alloy wheels provide agile, responsive riding no matter the conditions."

Next up on the special deal list is the Kymco Agility 50 scooter (first image), which is now being offered at $1,990 ride away. "Comfortable seating and a rider backrest make this machine a dream to ride," says Kymco, "and generous storage makes the Agility 50 as functional as it is reliable." Powered by a 50cc four-stroke engine, it's also a low maintenance model.

Kymco is also offering extended warranties on all its scooters sold before May 31, with a four-year factory warranty.

The third model in the Kymco family to be offered at a special rate until the end of the financial years is the MXU 400 (third image), which has been reduced by $1000, for a $7,990 price point.

"The MXU 400 is designed specifically for the needs of Australian farmers, resulting in a machine that not only oozes quality, but is also an extremely practical tool for handling any tough work situation," states Kymco.

Power for the MXU comes from a four-stroke air cooled engine that produces 26 horsepower, which the maker claims is enough grunt to carry passengers and "tame the toughest terrains". It can be switched between 2WD or 4WD and also has high and low ranges, and is covered by a three-year factory warranty until June 30, 2010. The standard factory warranty is usually two years.
