Can-Am is offering riders the chance to fang around at the Aussie MotoGP on a Spyder -- for free

As the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix heats up, so does the promotional activity with Can-Am's Spyder Roadster national demonstration tour the latest.

Officially called "The Spyder Experience" the event is free to sign up to and gives participants a two-hour session on the ins-and-outs of the unique three-wheeled Can-Am Spyder, including ride time.

Another perk of signing up to the experience is that you can win a Spyder, priced at $26,990 (not including government and delivery charges).

Unlike the Piaggio MP3 scooter, which also features two front wheels, the Can-Am Spyder is much sportier proposition, powered by a 998cc V-twin Rotax engine that pumps out 106hp at 8500rpm and 104Nm of torque at 6250rpm.

The 316kg machine gets many car-like systems, such as traction and stability control. It also features "unique ride characteristics" that should provide spectators and participants at this year's Phillip Island MotoGP with something a little different.

According to BRP, the company behind the Can-Am Spyder, participants will get a technical overview and introduction to the vehicle, followed by "the thrill of putting the Spyder Roadster through its paces on the open road".

Spots for The Spyder Experience are expected to go fast and places are limited so check out the Spyder Experience website to register.
