Multistrada gets the fans' gong
Voted 'best bike' at 2009 EICMA show
The public has spoken: Ducati's new 1198-engined
Multistrada 1200
all-rounder has been awarded 'best bike' at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan.
Over 20,000 visitors to the show participated in the survey, organised by Italian magazine
Motociclismo
, with the Multistrada 1200 snaring a emphatic 48 percent of the votes to finish well ahead of the
MV Agusta F4
and
Aprilia RSV4
.
With a dry weight of just 189kg, Ducati claims the Multistrada 1200 is lighter than any other road enduro, touring or sporstouring bike currently on the market.
The machine goes on sale in Australia next spring, with pricing still to be announced.
Meanwhile, check out recent Bikesales Network news for a slew of new production and concept models that were unveiled at EICMA.
