American performance specialist Velocity Racing has produced a turbo kit for the GSX-R1000 (reviewed this week) which claims to boost the already healthy 190-ish horses to an eye-watering 250.
The company claims that, outside the kit provided, the only mechanical mod required is heavier clutch springs.
Its own test mule, which also features a lengthened swingarm, recorded a dragstrip time of 8.63sec at 170mph (273kmh).
Priced at US$3995 (approx $4500) the kit is one of a series the firm has produced for current sports tackle.
