Supercharged Aussie bike gets a run at the IoM

West Australian Ducati specialist Vee Two Engineering has debuted its supercharged Super Squalo at the recent Isle of Man TT, according to Australian Motorcycle News (AMCN).

Just 99 of the hand-built machines are to be produced at $75,000 each.

There are ten currently under construction, and one has been delivered to a European customer.

AMCN Editor Mick Matheson reports, "Acceleration is phenomenal, and in third gear with the throttle almost wide open, the front wheel still wants to come up."

The 195kg (wet) package is powered by a 999S engine, fitted with a Sprintex supercharger.

All up it claims an impressive 151kW, or 200 horsepower. Matheson says the power delivery is far from being peaky.

The machine boasts numerous unique features, such as a digital screen race-style dashboard, automatic speed-sensitive electric windscreen and rear-facing video camera.

Its design was penned by John Keogh, who has worked on a number of high-profile projects over the years.

Vee Two has a dedicated site for the bike - see Supersqualo.com.
