Canadians give their southern cousins a run for their money

Victory Motorcycles -- a division of Polaris -- has just launched the Vision, a 1731cc V-twin tourer with all the fruit.

If you order the Tour Premium package, you get around 365 kilos of luxo bike that includes sound system, cruise control, heated grips, power windshield and a substantial range from its 22.7 litre fuel tank.

Victory is coy about the power output, but says the powerplant makes 109ft-lb of torque from the fuel-injected engine. It drives a six speed transmission - with top claiming to be a true overdrive - and gets it all to the ground via a belt final drive.

Two main versions are available: the Street and Tour series.

Victory has been selling big V-twins for several years now, though we've yet to see them imported locally.

Prices in the US start at US$20,000 (Aus$23,500) for the Tour series.
