Italian scooter giant Piaggio and its companion brand Gilera have reduced the price of their top selling models.
The big sporty Gilera Nexus 500 maxi and the fully equipped Piaggio X9 500 with it's standard fitment radio, intercom and electric centre stand, are now priced at $9490, a saving of $1500.

Super commuter Piaggio X9 250 is now $7490, a saving of $1000 which the distributor says makes it the most competitively priced 250cc, full-size maxi in the market.

The large wheeled Piaggio Liberty 125 joins Piaggio's direct injection NRG PureJet 50 at $4490, both saving buyers $500.

"A number of factors have allowed us to trim prices on the Piaggio and Gilera models", said Piaggio Australia's Simon Gloyne. He added "It's great news because now buyers considering an unknown brand can invest just a little more and own a properly backed model from Europe's best".
