The Classic runs the same mechanicals and chassis as the stock machine, but comes with numerous upgrades, including footboards, touring seat and a pull-back handlebar bend that the factory calls Beach Bars.
In addition there are a host of cosmetic upgrades, such as two-tone paint, chrome cam cover and black engine finish. All up, the package would cost around $2000 if ordered through the accessories catalogue, but this model is priced at just $1000 over the stock machine - at $25,990, plus ORC.
"Demand for the Rocket III has been phenomenal," said Triumph Australia's Paul Grocutt, "We've sold well over 500 and it has taken months to catch up with the orders. But it's always good to keep the line-up fresh and we're confident the Classic will appeal to people who want to do some longer runs." The Classic can be dressed up further with touring accessories such as windscreen, panniers and sissy bar.
