Ducati has released another variant of the Monster range, the S2R1000. It replaces the M1000 and M1000S models and joins the S2R and S4R.
The company says the S2R1000 has been designed to deliver to customers the SR Monster family benefits of sports naked performance and style with a powerful and torquey 1000 DS engine featuring dual spark, EFI and long interval/low cost servicing.

It features a Brembo braking package with twin 320mm front discs, four-piston calipers and a PSC type master cylinder with separate reservoir, plus adjustable levers. The suspension package includes fully adjustable 43mm Showa upside-down fork and an adjustable Sachs rear monoshock.

The Monster S2R1000 retails for $16,995 (plus ORC), with a two-year warranty, roadside assist and rider support program.
