Suzuki's GSX-R1000 has taken victory in the 2005 International Bike of the Year judging.
All three generations of the Suzuki GSX-R1000 have been awarded the IBOTY title, with the Japanese marque winning a seven times in the past 10 years.

"The Suzuki GSX-R1000 is an exceptional motorcycle and has achieved outstanding success in the marketplace and on the racetrack," Perry Morison, General Manager - Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said.

"Troy Corser won the World Superbike Championship aboard the GSX-R1000, Mat Mladin claimed a record sixth AMA Superbike title with it and Shawn Giles tied on points at the top of the Australian Superbike series, too."

IBOTY is voted on by an international panel of judges from countries including Greece, Australia, UK, Germany, Taiwan, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Japan, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Italy, USA, and Russia.
