BENELLI
Brand New Bikes in Stock

It seems the sale of the Italian bike firm Benelli to British sports car maker TVR has fallen through, and it has now been picked up by Chinese maker Qianjiang.

Based in the Hangzhou province, Qianjiang sells a range of power products, including generators, small-capacity motorcycles, scooters and even a 150cc race car. The company says Benelli's scooters and motorcycles will continue to be made in Italy, although there has been no announcement on what models will be offered.

Benelli was started as a repair shop in 1922 by Teresa Benelli and made its first motorcycle in 1921.

The company's Australian sales have fallen in recent months, with just 14 sold to the end of September this year.

Qianjiang can be found on the web at www.qianjiang.com.cn
