Newly crowned Australian Women's Motocross Champion Kristy Gillespie from Albury NSW, has won round two of the Victorian Women's Motocross Championship held at Broadford in Victoria.
Riding the KTM 250 SX-F, Gillespie competed in three motos dominating each class with three straight wins.
Gillespie comments, "In race one, I battled through turn one with Adelia Barton but quickly made a pass and rode away for the win. Adelia, who had held second for most of the race, crashed in the final stages and I took the win by 50 seconds over second, which I was pretty stoked about.
"In my next race, it was Rebecca Lipsett who took the early lead. I quickly made the pass and led the race to bring home the win over Adelia Barton, and Sophie Nesbitt in third.
"The pace was on in the early stages of my final race with Sophie Nesbitt taking a chance on the first of two up-hill doubles clearing the jump. It didn't take me long to claim the lead with the speed I was riding, and I rode home for another clear win.
"I'm now leading the Victorian Women's Motocross Championship by over 30 points giving me a comfortable position going into the next round."
